Mariposa Principal
Dear Mariposa Families,
It is my honor to serve as principal of Mariposa Elementary School, home of the Monarchs. At Mariposa, we believe every child has unlimited potential, and it is our shared responsibility as families, educators, and community members to help each student thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
Our faculty is deeply committed to providing a rigorous, engaging, and supportive learning environment where all students are challenged to reach their personal best. We emphasize:
- Safety first: The well-being of every student and staff member is our highest priority. Mariposa is a closed campus; all visitors are asked to check in at the school office with identification.
- Academic excellence: Instruction is rooted in California State Standards and supported by technology-rich, data-driven practices.
- Targeted support: Academic interventions ensure that we meet the unique needs of every learner.
- Whole-child development: Social-emotional learning and character education are integrated throughout the school day to build confidence, empathy, and resilience.
- Creative expression: Our commitment to the visual and performing arts provides every student with opportunities to explore and showcase their talents.

Dear Mariposa Families,
I am honored to join the Mariposa Elementary School community as your new Assistant Principal. This year marks my 20th year in Redlands Unified. Over those two decades, I’ve served our district as a classroom teacher, instructional coach, and school administrator. At heart, my goal in education has always been simple: support our teachers, partner with our families, and help every single student succeed.
Working alongside Principal Gill and our incredible staff, I am dedicated to ensuring Mariposa remains a safe, welcoming, engaging, and enriching place for our students. We know that when school and home work together, students thrive academically, socially, and emotionally. My aim is to help achieve those goals and ensure that all our Monarchs are EMPOWERed to reach their full potential.
Mariposa has a rich tradition of excellence, and I'm thrilled to be a part of continuing that legacy. I look forward to working with our students, staff, and families to help make this an extraordinary year!
