Dear Mariposa Families,

It is my honor to serve as principal of Mariposa Elementary School, home of the Monarchs. At Mariposa, we believe every child has unlimited potential, and it is our shared responsibility as families, educators, and community members to help each student thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Our faculty is deeply committed to providing a rigorous, engaging, and supportive learning environment where all students are challenged to reach their personal best. We emphasize:

• Safety first: The well-being of every student and staff member is our highest priority. Mariposa is a closed campus; all visitors are asked to check in at the school office with identification.
• Academic excellence: Instruction is rooted in California State Standards and supported by technology-rich, data-driven practices.
• Targeted support: Academic interventions ensure that we meet the unique needs of every learner.
• Whole-child development: Social-emotional learning and character education are integrated throughout the school day to build confidence, empathy, and resilience.
• Creative expression: Our commitment to the visual and performing arts provides every student with opportunities to explore and showcase their talents.
