Dear Mariposa Elementary School Families

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year at Mariposa Elementary School! I am excited and honored to be part of the Mariposa community for the upcoming school year. I believe in the relentless pursuit of academic excellence and understand that this can only be achieved through a collaborative partnership with parents and staff.  Parents are every child’s first teacher, this makes it important for us to work together to ensure greater academic success for your child. Mariposa faculty remains steadfast in their commitment to providing a high-quality education for your children each and every day. It is expected that every student works to his or her personal best at all times.

Our commitment to students and families for the 23-24 school year includes:

1. The safety of ALL students and staff members is the number one priority at Mariposa School. We are a closed campus, please always check in the School Office and bring your ID when you visit.

2. For the first three days of school (8/9, 8/10 & 8/11) we invite you to walk your student to their classroom, take first-day photos and see our beautiful campus.  However, as of 8/14/23 our campus will return to a closed, secure campus and all visitors must check in at the office

3. A focus on academic excellence rooted in grade-level standards and instructional technology.

4. Math and reading interventions to continue addressing students’ academic needs

5. A continued commitment to the social and emotional wellness of students. 

6. A continued focus on the Performing Arts at every grade level.

I am so excited to have the opportunity to bring my collective knowledge and experiences with me to this wonderful community.
