"Mariposa, Where Children Come First"
Located in a residential area in the hills of Redlands, Mariposa enjoys a commanding view of the snowcapped San Bernardino Mountains. The campus is beautifully decorated with murals, running track, botanical gardens, nature trails and waterfalls. It is a wonderful place to learn. There is a strong partnership between school, home and community and we are indebted to the tremendous parental support that is a hallmark of our school. We are proud of our students, their academic achievement, and of our school environment.
At Mariposa, we emphasize "Five Keys to Success." These five keys are taught by our staff and are rewarded when students exhibit them. They are: Organization: the ability to get school and homework turned in on time, to come prepared to class with the necessary materials and to budget time wisely. Flexible Thinking: the ability of students to solve real problems on their own without the intervention of an adult. Responsibility: the ability of our students to be trustworthy, to do what is right, and to accept the consequences when they do the wrong thing. Contribution is the ability of students to think of others, to contribute to the school, to the classroom and to our community. Lastly, Pride in a job well done. The ability of students to put forth their best effort at all times. These five Keys are reflected in our Mission Statement and in our daily activities with our students.
Visitors are always welcome. Come early to hear music from the Composer of the Month as the students are arriving at school! Students and staff enjoy sharing our programs with the community. Thank you for your interest and support.
